Expressions of Interest Open now for MPU events!

Melbourne Poets Union is opening up this year (and the next’s) calendar of events to expressions of interest from poets wishing to perform at one of our events.
We run 11 events per year at a range of venues and in a range of areas. Paying our features $80 for one poet or $160 for two or more poets.
This is open to individual performances or groups, however the payment for a group show is capped at $160 so keep this in mind when it comes to paying your group.
To inquire please email email@example.com with the subject heading EOI and the following information;
• The name(s) of you or your group/duo
• Bio(s) and jpg(s) of you and/or your performance
• A short description of your show
• Any aims, themes or intent behind your performance
• A list of equipment your show requires, letting us know anything you can or can’t provide yourself
• And if you have a preferred venue or area to perform
• If you have a preferred month or time of year (exact dates can be flexible but may be moved to 2020)
Expressions of Interest remain open until April 1st 2019 and re-open later in the year. If your show is selected we will work with you to make it as well promoted as possible.

Melbourne Poets Union needs a new banner!
And we’re opening it up to a competition, to all our friends and supporters and members. Melbourne Poets Union wants you to design our next logo and banner.
Like an actual banner, that we'll get made and take to events and stuff, and the logo will be used on our various promotional materials (web and print). With your credit of course.
The Prize is $50 plus a years free membership to MPU and entry is free!
Competition runs from NOW until March 31st 2019
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Subject heading Banner Comp for both entries and inquiries.
Your entry should be attached to an email with your name, and contact details (including phone number), as both a jpg and pdf file formats.

You do not have to use any of this information in the design of your logo, but preference may be given to entries that reflect or relate to current MPU styles and history.
